Megan and Robbie were the last engagement session I photographed before I moved from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. Their wedding is also the last one I have this year (and maybe ever!) in Nova Scotia, and it was a wedding to remember. Megan made an absolutely stunning bride with a 10 foot double veil and a jaw dropping bouquet of bold colours from Pilcher’s Flowers & Gifts. Her bridesmaids were dressed in different shades of pink with teal and gold accessories, which made such a beautifully coloured wedding. The ceremony and reception were both held at Ashburn Golf Club on Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax. Fortunately it didn’t rain for the outdoor ceremony, but there were some potential clouds hanging around, which actually helped bring out the bold colours.
I spent most of the day with the women of the wedding party and Morgan spent the day with the men. We occasionally met throughout the day but only really got the chance to talk before dinner and the first thing both of us said was “have you seen the CAKE yet?!” Once you see it, you’ll know the reason for the excitement. I am in absolute awe of the work of City Girl Cakes.
Congratulations Megan and Robbie, you are a beautiful couple and I am so thankful that I could be a part of your day. You and your wedding party were so much fun to photograph! “So we hold our flowers like this, right?”
