This is my first session up in Fort Nelson and I couldn’t be happier with the results! We aimed to shoot right at 9:00am, but my husband and I got lost on the way to the farm. We had used Google maps but we quickly realized that in remote locations, Google doesn’t work as well and stops pinpointing addresses… Lesson learned. We thought we had taken the wrong road, turned around, realized we were on the right road for the past 14km and had to turn around again and drive back! It ended up that we had been only a couple kilometers away in the first place! Despite our lack of knowledge of the area, we were still able to start shooting in time to catch the morning glow of the sun.
When Jacquie mentioned that she wanted a country-themed engagement shoot to match their lifestyle, I couldn’t wait to start shooting! Farms provide so many different locations and textures; the possibilities are endless. Their session was set for an hour and a half, but I could have kept shooting through the afternoon! They were so natural to pose and they were up for anything. The combination of cowboy boots and a cowboy hat was picture perfect.
Congratulations Reily and Jacquie!
P.S. Can you spot the bumblebee?
